Project 1: Palm Seed Sowing

We started Palm Seed Sowing Festival on October 06th 2023.

Mr. Livingston, District Environmental Engineer, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board, was presided this event.

Event was contacted in two phases, and more than 20,000 seeds were sown in this project.

And Thanks to Press members, family, friends & People from Gummidipoondi.

We have sourced from various regions especially Tamil Nadu border region of Pannamagadu (Andhra Pradesh), Verkadu & Devambedu.

In the first phase (06th Oct 2023) , we sowed 1,800 Palm seeds in Isha Periya lake in Gummidipoondi.
same day on oct 6th, we sowed 500 farm seeds in the place at Guruvachery pond in Gummidipoondi.
On the 2nd day we sowed 6,000 palm seeds in Puvalambedu Village lake Gummidipoondi taluk
On the 3nd day we sowed 1200 palm seeds in soorapondi Village lake Gummidipoondi taluk.
On the 4nd day we sowed 550 palm seeds in Sirupuzhalpettai Village lake Gummidipoondi taluk.

We have sourced from various areas of old Gummidipoondi, Athupakkam, and Devambedu.

In the second phase (13.10.2023) we sowed 700 Palm seeds in Chinna Obulapuram - Gummidipoondi taluk
On 14th of October we sowed 1100 palm seeds in the place at Prithvi Nagar lake - Gummidipoondi taluk.
On 15th of October we sowed 1800 palm seeds in Keerapakam village lake - Gummidipoondi taluk.
On 21&22nd of October we sowed 4100 palm seeds in Iyanellur Village lake - Gummidipoondi taluk.
On 28th of October we sowed 1000 palm seeds in Verkadu Village lake - Gummidipoondi taluk.
On 05th November we sowed 800 palm seeds in Kuruvachery Village pond - Gummidipoondi taluk.
On 12th of November we sowed 500 palm seeds in Athupakam Village lake - Gummidipoondi taluk.
