Project 6: Beach Cleanup Campaign

Pazhaverkadu

On 21.12.2025, we conducted a Shore Cleanup Drive at the Pazhaverkadu Sea Shore. Children and youth enthusiastically joined together to clean the beach and surrounding shoreline.

The participants worked as a team to collect plastic waste, garbage, and other litter scattered along the coast. The activity helped create awareness about environmental protection and the importance of keeping our beaches clean.

A significant amount of waste was removed and disposed of responsibly. The event encouraged community participation and inspired everyone to contribute toward a cleaner and healthier environment.

Beach Cleanliness Awareness Message

A clean beach is everyone's responsibility. By following simple practices, we can protect our environment and marine life.

  • Always throw waste in designated dustbins.

  • Avoid using single-use plastic bags, cups, and bottles.

  • Carry reusable water bottles and eco-friendly bags.

  • Do not leave food wrappers, bottles, or other litter on the beach.

  • Participate in beach cleanup drives and encourage others to join.

  • Educate children and community members about the importance of keeping beaches clean.

  • Respect marine life and avoid disturbing natural habitats.

  • Segregate waste whenever possible for proper recycling.

  • Report illegal dumping or pollution activities to local authorities.

  • Remember that a clean beach attracts visitors and helps preserve nature for future generations.

"Keep the beach clean today for a healthier ocean tomorrow."

Seed Ball Throwing Activity

After the Shore Cleanup Drive on 21.12.2025, the children participated in a Seed Ball Throwing Activity along the roadside areas near Pazhaverkadu. The young participants enthusiastically threw seed balls containing native plant seeds in suitable open spaces to help increase green cover in the region.

The activity was organized to create environmental awareness among children and encourage them to take an active role in protecting nature. Through this initiative, they learned about the importance of planting trees, conserving biodiversity, and maintaining a healthy environment.

The seed ball activity inspired the children to become responsible environmental stewards and contribute towards building a greener and more sustainable future.
